Government has enforced all telecom operators for re-verification of all SIMs before 26 February 2015, to increase Pakistan national security. Re-verification will be done with the help of Nadra as thumb impression is required. Only 5 SIMs can be issued under each CNIC. Re-verification process will be handled in two phases: First phase is from 12 January 2015 to 26 February 2015 for subscribers in Balochistan, DG Khan, DI Khan, Peshawar and Karachi. Second phase starts from 27 February 2015 for subscribers all over Pakistan. All SIMs which are not re-verified after these 90 days will be blocked and after 6 months will be re-sold.
Re-verification can be done by visiting any MSP, Retailer, Franchise Center or Business Center along with your original CNIC. According to PTA policies, for re-verification of SIMs, you will be charged Rs.10 per CNIC.
