From the 13th to 15th of April 2012, TCKP has organized a festival on the bank of the River Indus on the M1 motorway near Hund in District Swabi to introduce Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cuisine to a wider public. The scenic riverside setting for the three-day food festival is where Alexander the Great crossed the Indus in 326BC. Today, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cuisine combines the flavors of Central Asia, the colours of the Indus, the sweetness of Persia and culinary delicacies from the ancient Greeks. The Event will feature traditional cuisines, Music Gala, cultural dances & music, handicrafts, fireworks, kids fun area and a lot more.
